Introduction

NT (also known as NH in European standards, RT16 in Chinese national standard) .It is a type of high-performance, filled-type knife-blade fuse link, widely used in industrial low-voltage power distribution systems.

NT knife-blade fuse link is a disposable protective device. The fuse element melts to cut off the circuit, protecting cables, motors, transformers and other electrical equipment when overload or short-circuit happened.

The size and max rated current are different:

NT000 (00C): Max. 125A; (From 10A to 125A )

NT00: Max. 160A. (From 10A to 160A );

NT0: Max 160A (From 10A to 160A )

NT1:Max 250A (From 100A to 250A )

NT2:Max 400A (From 160A to 400A )

NT3:Max 630A (From 400A to 630A )

NT4:Max :1250A (From 800A to 1250A )

NT000 and NT00 have similar shell lengths , but they have their own fuse bases and can not be mixed.

NT0 and NT00 Both have maximum 160A rating. NT0 has longer body and larger volume, commonly found in legacy equipment. NT00 is preferred for modern installations.

NT1 , NT2 ,NT3 ,NT4

Each size is progressively larger. Each size has its own dedicated base; fuse links cannot be cross-sized installed.
NT4 is the largest size for high-power main incoming circuits.

Contacts are made of high-performance red copper or alloy, ensuring good conductivity, wear and corrosion resistance. Captive spring mechanisms maintain consistent contact pressure during thermal cycling, eliminating resistance drift.
Base Housing Crafted from high-temperature resistant nylon, offering good mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and flame-retardant (self-extinguishing) properties, withstanding physical impacts, vibrations, and harsh operating conditions.
Improved Heat Dissipation: Open-type structure enhances heat dissipation, reducing temperature rise for reliable operation under high-current loads.

gG: General‑purpose full‑range protection for cables and power distribution (most widely used)
gM / aM: For motor circuits
gR / aR: For semiconductors and rectifiers

Selection Notes

In general ,NT000 suit Small distribution cabinets, low‑current circuits ;NT00 suit Most commonly used, distribution boxes, small power circuits;NT0 suit Same current rating as NT00 but larger size, for old‑type equipment;NT1 suit Power cabinets, motor circuits, transformer secondary sides;NT2 suit Main circuits, large motors, capacitor banks;NT3 suit Distribution cabinet incoming lines, high‑power transformers;NT4 suit Main incoming feeders, heavy‑duty industrial power distribution .Users should chose the right types according theirs real needs:

Select fuse link according to circuit operating current.
The fuse base must strictly match the fuse link size.
690V systems require 690V‑rated fuses.
Fuses are disposable devices. Replace the complete fuse link after blowing; cannot be repaired.
